KooGaの設立

KooGaの歴史は、1997年にビル･ニュートンとシャック・アンワーがイングランドのマンチェスターに KooGa Rugby を設立したことに始まります。スポーツ界の経験が豊かであった二人は、その経験を活かしラグビーというすばらしいスポーツに特化し、ラグビーの伝統（ALL FOR ONE SPIRIT）を尊重し、そこに新しいアイディア、インスピレーションそしてスタイルを加えたブランド構想を持ちました。そして、トップレベルのチーム、プレーヤーだけではなく、ラグビーを愛し、プレーするすべての人たちのために可能な限り最高の製品をサポートし続けてます。

The KooGa story began in 1997 when KooGa Rugby was established in Manchester, England, by Bill Newton and Shak Anwar. They wanted to apply their vast experience in sport to fulfil a vision of a brand dedicated to the great sport of rugby, honouring the traditions of rugby such as the "all for one spirit", while introducing new ideas, inspiration and style. Furthermore, they aimed to not only support top-level teams and players, but provide the best possible products for all those who love and play the game.

ブランドネーミングである゛KooGa（クーガ）゛は、ダイナミックで素早い、躍動的なイメージとして、動物である゛Cougar（クーガー）゛が由来であります。このエネルギーとALL FOR ONE SPIRITを持って、ラグビーに関わる全ての人たちの力になっていきたいと思っています。

The name of the brand, KooGa, reflects the nimble, lively and dynamic athletic abilities of the cougar animal that shares its pronunciation. With this energy and the "all for one spirit", KooGa aims to be a driving force for all people involved with rugby.

1999年、KooGa は、゛ラグビーと共に、ラグビーのために゛という同じ考えを持つ World Rugby Specialists Pty Ltd. （WRS） によってオーストラリアに紹介されました。優れた製品とサービスによってオーストラリアのラグビー界に新しい刺激を与え、オーストラリアや太平洋諸島のラグビーを支える原動力となっています。2004年WRS は、日本支社を設立し、初めて KooGa ブランドを日本のラグビー愛好者に紹介しました。

KooGa was brought to Australia in 1999 by World Rugby Specialists Pty. Ltd. (WRS), a company with a similar attitude to KooGa – "grounded in rugby, for rugby". Through superior products and service, WRS brought new energy to Australian rugby, and has since become a driving force in the Australian and Pacific Island rugby scene. In 2004, WRS set up its Japan branch, bringing the KooGa brand to the Japanese rugby public for the first time.
